Introducing the new Price PEEKING function...
« on: March 08, 2014, 01:49:17 PM »
This new price PEEK-ing OzSuper function views the prices FROM a particular date coming forward with various time frames, showing the percentage either lost or gained in the time frame.

For members, as normal, columns are sortable.
Data can be copied and pasted into a spreadsheet for private analysis.

Please note:
  • This is a very heavy processing web page. So a Sample Quantity of data is shown until you are happy with the results, then simply click on the Full Quantity selection and click on the Submit button, to view all stocks for your selection.
  • This new function is in Beta/Testing mode, so results should be treated carefully.

There a two ways into it...

Explanation:
  • Any Company code/Ticker change is actioned on with the new code. Up to 3 code changes.
  • Changes of Issued company shares will re-adjust the growth calculation (outside of 40% change).
  • If a price is not found at the target date (or within an earlier 20 days) the stock is deemed to be 100% lost, at that date.

Just another announcement on this fairly new feature...

Have also added a report selection for a list of ASX Company Codes (Tickers) to generate a sub set of the report.

These are included as an extra portion in the FILTER section.

Also the Tickers appearing in the report are listed at the bottom of the page, so they can be copied out and pasted into the same or another report function, to further apply selection criteria.

Have fun, welcome feedback.
 :)

Thank you,
The Management

PEEK reinstated for use...
« Reply #2 on: February 01, 2017, 09:28:52 PM »
This PEEK AHEAD Function has been switched OFF for a while due to performance issues.

The performance has been corrected, and so has now been reinstated and activated.

For example web page: http://ozsuper.com/ax/ax_date_price.php?cb=190&d=20070131#Report
Refer to the PEEK hotlinks on this page.

Reminder:
1) The PEEK function is always going to be a high resource function. This is why the page defaults to only a sample selection of companies within the selection ranges. Currently this has been slashed from 10 right down to 1. This is especially due to the many web bots scanning my pages. Once your on the wanted page you need to change the selection from Sample Quantity Only to Full Quantity.
2) The PEEK function is peeking at the performance of companies FROM a given date coming forward in time. So you must start with an older date for the results to be meaningful.
Thank you,
The Management
